Triberg Week

Hallo,
I am back from the week with all the other exchangers, and actually have been for a week now. I had an amazing time meeting everyone who is in my district, and that includes the students in the lower half of Baden Wurttemberg. There are exchangers from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Italy, France, Taiwan, and the United States. My best part of the week was probably the high ropes course in the black forest, and just meeting everyone. Here are some photos, which can also be found on my facebook page.

Week 3 and 4 :D

Hallo!
So tomorrow i'm headed off to the black forest for a week with about 20 other exchange students, and I am really excited! This post is a little short, but that is because these past two weeks haven't been the most exciting. I hung out with some friends from school last weekend and that was really fun though :D  I'm pretty sure when I get back next week that it will be an extremely long post filled with pictures, so that will make up for it.

Untill next Time,

So i have been here for 2 weeks and a day. It has been pretty good so far. I started language lessons, so i have those once a week. School is going good but i really do hate sport class.... From October 4th to October 10th i have the first meeting with the exchange students in District 1930 in the black forest. It says we get to go  hiking up a mountain, swim, ice skate, ropes course, etc. I am playing in my towns band so i start practice tonight, so i will talk to you guys later. :D

Arrival and Week one :)

Hallo,
I arrived here on September 4th at about 8 in the morning. It was a long 11 hour flight, and other than my gates switching at the last moment, it went pretty well. I have been here about 5 days and it is awesome. The food is good and the people are friendly. I have been to a winefest, ate some ice cream, and started school. School was school but i met some really nice people. I start German language lessons tomorrow so hopefully i will actually be able to speak German soon. If you ever go on exchange.... learn the language before you go. There may be an inbound orientation at the end of the month, so I will talk to you then, or if anything interesting happens. If you want to know about anything that is going on here just message me on facebook or leave it in the comments. To the other exchangers this year, have the best time of your lives and i will see some of you at rebound camp in the states!
Tschüss(:

Questions, departure, and Rotary

Hallo people,

Well today i'm going to talk about my departure, and what is Rotary. I guess I could have mentioned this in the first post, but I am going to Germany through Rotary youth exchange. Rotary is a service organization that is in many countries across the world. Compared to other youth exchange programs, Rotary tends to run quite a bit cheaper because it is volunteer based. You can travel to many different countries in South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. If you want to learn more information on Rotary youth exchange you can go to this link.   http://www.rotary.org/en/studentsandyouth/youthprograms/rotaryyouthexchange/pages/howitworks.aspx  For the packing aspect, I am only allowed one 50 pound checked bag and a carry on. How am I supposed to fit a year into that?? Well Im heading out for my year long adventure on September 4th. I plan to update this blog while I am in Germany maybe weekly. I may update more often than not with a couple pictures or so, it just depends on how everything is going. Untill next time, Tschüss(:
